1. Introduction

Ccuring Solutions LTD ("Ccuring," "we," "us," or "our"), a company headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, provides the Ccuring mobile application and related web portal (together, the "App" or "Services") — a scheduling and safety platform that allows individuals, families, and businesses to create schedules, trigger reminders and alerts, share safety status through Journey Scan, and manage emergency contacts, groups, and (for business accounts) staff, visitors, and dues.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the App, how we use and share it, the choices available to you, and how you can contact us. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account and Profile Information

When you register for Ccuring, we collect information such as your:

• Full name, email address, and phone number

• Country and international dial code (2-letter ISO country code, e.g. NG, PK, and dial code, e.g. +234, +92)

• Profile photo (optional)

• Login credentials and authentication data

• Role information, where you are added to a business, estate, school, or organization account

2.2 Contacts and Emergency Contact Data

The App lets you search for and add other Ccuring users as contacts (by email, name, or phone number), organize them into groups, and mark specific contacts as "Emergency" contacts. For each contact relationship we store the contact's identity, the trust/role status (e.g. "My Emergency," "Trusted By"), and whether that contact has accepted, is pending, or has been removed.

2.3 Schedule Content

When you create a Schedule, we collect the content you choose to attach — including text, audio recordings, images, the trigger type (Buzz, Text, Voice, or Image), the trigger time or location, and the recipients (yourself, specific contacts, or a group).

2.4 Location Data

Location is central to several App features and is collected only in connection with those features:

• Precise location, to trigger location-based Schedules when you (or a shared contact/group member) arrive at a specified place

• Background location, so that location-based triggers and Journey Scan continue to work while the App is not in the foreground

• Journey Scan data, including your set destination, live location coordinates streamed at regular heartbeat intervals (approximately every 30 seconds), your periodic "Safe" / "Unsafe" status reports, and your distance from the destination boundary radius (default 50 metres) used to auto-complete a journey

• GPS coordinates captured at the moment an Emergency Alert is triggered

2.5 Emergency Alert Data

If you or someone using a shared Schedule triggers the Emergency feature, the App will automatically: capture your GPS location; start an approximately one-minute audio/video recording (where the Record Audio/Video permission is enabled); and share your current location, phone number, and address together with the recording to the emergency contacts associated with that Schedule or account. This data is also retained by Ccuring to support the safety purpose of the feature and, where applicable, business compliance logs ("Trails Archive"or Emergency Log on the web).

2.6 Journey Scan Reports and Incident Reports

Journey Scan safety check-ins (Safe/Unsafe) may be visible to "Travellers Nearby" on the same route so that they can use your status as a guide. You may also choose to submit an incident report, which can be shared publicly with other travellers in the area or privately with your emergency contacts.

2.7 Device Permissions and Diagnostic Data

To provide safety features, the App requests the following device permissions, shown in your device Settings:

• Camera and Microphone — used to record audio/video during an Emergency Alert

• Precise Location and Background Location — used for location-based triggers and Journey Scan

• Display Over Other Apps — used to show urgent alert screens

• Unrestricted Battery / Background Activity — used to keep safety monitoring running reliably

• Notifications — used to deliver schedule reminders, safety alerts, and account notices

We also automatically collect limited technical data such as device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, and general diagnostic data to keep the App secure and functioning correctly.

2.8 Business, Estate, School, and Enterprise Data

Where an organization (such as an estate, medical facility, school, transport operator, or enterprise) subscribes to a Ccuring business plan and adds you as a member via the Contacts section, we additionally process:

• Your registration on that organization's member/business database

• Daily Check-in responses (Safe/Unsafe) submitted in response to scheduled alarms sent to all residents or members

• Visitor management data, including daily safety access codes, and any Identification/QR code stamp generated for you

• Staff role and access-permission data, where you are registered as staff

• Payment ledger records related to dues, invoices, and group membership fees

• Group membership and group-level notifications sent by administrators

2.9 Payment Information

Paid plans, dues, and group fees are processed through our third-party payment processor, Paystack. Ccuring does not store your full card or bank account details; Paystack processes payment credentials directly and shares with us only the transaction reference, status, and amount needed to update your payment ledger.

2.10 Communications

If you contact us by email (support@ccuring.com), WhatsApp, or through the contact form on ccuring.com, we collect your name, contact details, and the content of your message so we can respond to you.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

• Create and manage your account and authenticate you

• Operate core features, including Schedules, reminders, Journey Scan, and Emergency Alerts

• Trigger and deliver alerts, recordings, and location information to the intended self, contact, or group recipients

• Enable Journey Scan boundary detection, heartbeat safety check-ins, and nearby-traveller status sharing

• Operate business features such as Daily Check-in, visitor codes, ID/QR generation, staff and role management, group management, and the payment ledger

• Process payments and reconcile dues through Paystack

• Send administrative notifications, reminders, and support communications

• Maintain compliance archives (Trails Archive) of past journeys and safety logs

• Detect, investigate, and prevent misuse, fraud, or security incidents

• Improve, troubleshoot, and develop the App

• Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests

4. How We Share Your Information

We share information only as necessary to provide the Services:

• With contacts and groups you choose — schedule content, alerts, and Journey Scan status are shared with the recipients you select

• With emergency contacts — during a triggered Emergency Alert, your location, phone number, address, and the resulting audio/video recording are shared with the contacts marked "Emergency" for that Schedule or account

• With nearby travellers — Journey Scan safety status and, where you choose, incident reports may be visible to other travellers on the same route or, if marked public, to the general App community

• With business/organization administrators — where you are registered under an estate, medical, school, transport, or enterprise business account, authorized administrators and staff of that organization can view your registration, check-in status, journey logs, visitor codes, and payment ledger relevant to that organization

• With service providers — including cloud hosting, SMS/email delivery providers, and Paystack (for payment processing), who process data on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality and data-processing terms

• For legal reasons — where required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ccuring, our users, or the public

• In a business transfer — if Ccuring is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Emergency and Location Features — Important Notice

Ccuring's Emergency Alert and Journey Scan features are designed to support personal and organizational safety by informing the contacts, groups, or administrators you configure. They are not a substitute for contacting the police, medical services, fire services, or any other public emergency service, and Ccuring does not guarantee that any alert, recording, or location share will be delivered, viewed, or acted upon in time, or at all. You should always contact your local emergency services directly in a life-threatening situation.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account, schedule, contact, location, and emergency data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. Journey and safety logs older than the active tracking period are moved into encrypted compliance ("Archive") records, which may be retained for longer periods to meet safety, audit, or legal requirements — including, for business accounts, corporate travel-tracking audits exportable by the organization's administrators. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take steps to delete or anonymize it, subject to legal retention obligations.

7. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted storage of archived logs and secured transmission of alerts and payment references. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law (including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023), you may have rights to:

• Access, correct, or update your account and profile information

• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to retention obligations described above

• Withdraw consent for optional features (for example, disabling location, camera, or microphone permissions in your device settings — noting that this will limit or disable related safety features)

• Remove or edit contacts, groups, and Schedules you have created

• Opt out of non-essential notifications through in-app settings

• Object to or restrict certain processing, where applicable law provides that right

9. Dependents and Sub-Accounts

Where the App is used to monitor a dependent (such as a child or staff member) under a primary account holder's supervision, the primary account holder is responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate authority and, where required, consent to register and monitor that dependent. Access to dependent location and profile details is protected by an additional verification step ("Tab Guard") within the App.

The App is not directed at children under the age of 18 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction) as independent account holders. Where a business or family plan registers a minor as a dependent, this is done under the supervision and responsibility of a parent, guardian, or authorized administrator.

10. International Data Transfers

Ccuring is based in Lagos, Nigeria, and our service providers (including cloud hosting and payment processing) may process data in other countries. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps intended to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection consistent with applicable data protection law.

11. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services, including Paystack (payments), and is distributed via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Your use of those platforms is also subject to their respective privacy policies and terms.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other reasonable means, and update the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
